Leng Rong: the experience of Zhejiang valuable to China

In January 2007, the investigation report "Experience of Zhejiang and the development of China", which was jointly conducted by China Academy of Social Science and the Government of Zhejiang Province, was released in Hangzhou.

"The experience of Zhejiang in solving problems in the development is quite valuable to china." said Mr. Leng Rong, Permanent Deputy Director of China Academy of Social Science.

Zhejiang, originally an under-developed rural province, is now occupying a leading position in economy of China. It has a GDP of more than 1,000 billion Yuan, is the first province to reach an GDP per capita of 3,000 U.S. Dollars in China, and is ranked first in China in people's average life.

On the other hand, as a leading province, Zhejiang has also met many problems earlier than other areas in China. So, according to Mr. Leng, concluding Zhejiang's experience would be beneficial to the development of both Zhejiang and the whole China.
