AIDS test added into physical exam

The China Democratic League Zhejiang Committee disclosed on Wednesday 29 resolutions it's going to submit to the upcoming Third Session of the Ninth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, which cover a wide range of topics, such as finance, politics, education and public health.

Of the 29 resoluations, one has put its focus on the AIDS issue.

The resolution pointed out that the actual number of AIDS infectors and patients in Zhejiang is far more than the registered number, though Zhejiang reported 811 registered AIDS infectors and patients by October 2004.

Thus, the resolution suggested that AIDS test be added in physical examination of the general public so as to help the government get a better understanding of the AIDS situation and take proper measure to control the spread the disease in the province.
